Evaluation of the Shoulder Complex

This course is intended for beginner to intermediate level clinicians looking to develop their shoulder evaluation knowledge and skill set. This course will cover shoulder surface and internal anatomy, arthrokinematics, in-depth evaluation techniques, shoulder conditions, and evidence-based special tests. This course is a dynamic interaction of lecture and lab format to ensure a thorough understanding of shoulder complex evaluation.

Course Objectives

Participants will be able to identify shoulder surface anatomy.
Participants will be able to understand shoulder internal anatomy.
Participants will be able to understand shoulder arthrokinematics.
Participants will be able to evaluate and screen common shoulder diagnoses through interview, visual inspection, AROM, PROM, palpation, and strength assessment.
Participants will be able to perform a postural evaluation.
Participants will be able to identify special tests for specific shoulder pathologies, including when and how to administer.
