Jay Gerzmehle OTD, CHT – Jay received his Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse in La Crosse, WI, and his Doctorate in occupational therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, UT. He is employed by Sharp Rees Stealy in upper extremity rehabilitation as an occupational therapist, clinical fieldwork coordinator, and mentor to multiple disciplines. He has served as a consultant for several professional sports organizations. In addition to his clinical work, he has been a contributing faculty member for the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, CA since 2018 and has certifications in hand therapy, ergonomics, and sports medicine. He has served as a guest lecturer for the San Diego Hand Special Interest Group and the San Diego State Physical Therapy program. He was named California Occupational Therapy Fieldwork Council “2023 Fieldwork Educator of the Year.”
Erin Dwyer Cormier received her OT degree from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut in 1998 and her CHT in 2004. Early on Erin worked in inpatient rehab and home health but has spend the last 24 years as a hand therapist. Erin is the supervisor of Sharp Rees-Stealy's Occupational Therapy program, to include ortho, neuro and lymphedema and also supervises the SRS Chula Vista P.T. department. Erin is a contributing author to Exploring Hand Therapy, also knows as "The Purple Book," and is a member of the PLNU OT advisory board.
